Welcome to my Open Studio at Cité Internationale des Arts!
The set up contains a selection of works by Constantin Rusu & four works by
Andreea Albani, Rodica Mihaela Ciobanu and Andrei Tudoran.
‘Constantin Brancusi’ Grant is annually offered by the Romanian Cultural Institute. It consists of a residency at Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, France.
Since November 2015 I have been living and working in the studio of Romania at Cité des Arts. My residency in Paris was a very rich experience, which led me to discovering and developing new artistic approaches in my work.

“The 12 present works make up an eclectic showcase, and in the same time
subtly-unitary, through the common theme of their existential searching, in diverse minimalistic styles, and with intense resonance of emotion. Having dimensions that vary from ample (300 x 150 cm) to intimist-delicate (40 x 40 cm), the works are disposed in diptychs, triptychs or multiple sequences: they are made in diverse techniques, with textures, carvings, depths and layering which the viewer discovers with irresistible pleasure.
The opening event will take place Wednesday, 1 July, at 7 pm, and the exhibition will be opened to visitation until 25 August 2015.”

“Cadrages et décadrages de tous nos sens” theme.
Entitled “Tears”, my work is an assemblage consisting of paintings that represent different facets of reality. It is a reality marked by contrast, between peace and disorder, calm and storm, Good and Evil- represented in metaphorical images. The different frames are symbolic images, which correspond to moments, moods and aspirations.
The assemblage was exposed in Jardins de Payan – the private botanical garden in Tarascon.
